I love making these - each one is unique. The dragonflies are handpainted on, it is fired, then the final glaze layer and fired again to 1280 deg celcius. This one is a good size for entertaining, serving salad or snacks, or just beautiful as a statement piece. In places the glaze breaks beautifully where the kiln atmosphere has been a little bit hotter.   It measures 33cm diameter and 5cm high. As it is formed by hand it is asymmetrical and totally individual. Below is a picture of the beginning process for these works.
