This one is exciting as it continues my obsession with painting my favourite trees from life. These paintings are proving to be popular with collectors. Somehow the joy I find in the process is making it's way into the paintings. I can't wait to do more - there is nothing like sitting directly in nature (sometimes sweaty and prickly and rocky though it is! :) and translating my awe and enjoyment onto the canvas.

This one was pretty special to paint. I find kids such a beautiful subject. The way the lads were just perched on the rail soaking it all up together really appealed to me.

Lilly Pilly Beaker – Pair

Perfect for a gin and tonic on a hot afternoon or any other cool drink, these beakers feel beautiful to wrap your hands around!

These were great fun to make. I loved experimenting with the dark clay and pressing the leaves in while the clay was wet. I paint on a layer of white slip and when it is dry the flowers are drawn using sgraffito (scratching through the white layer to show the dark clay underneath) The raw unglazed clay on the outside gives a lovely texture and feeling.

Layered Decoration is a feature on this handmade ceramic cup and saucer.

Roomy handle and fine lip add an enjoyable ceremony to that Sunday morning cuppa.

Handpainted Zinnia- Mug

These beautiful handmade ceramic mugs have a subtle warmth in their colouring. The firing reduced a little and burnt out the brighter colour and I think it’s beautiful! Fantastic to drink from with a lovely fine lip and roomy comfortable handle.

Lazy blue dragonfly – mug

These mugs turned out beautifully. I paint the blue background while the mug is just made and wet on the wheel head. Then a little slip trail for fun. The dragonfly is added when they are dry.
