I brush the yellow on while the mug is still spinning on the wheel. The slip trail comes later and finally the zinnias when the mug is almost dry.

]]> These beautiful handmade ceramic mugs have a subtle warmth in their colouring. The firing reduced a little and burnt out the brighter colour and I think it’s beautiful! Fantastic to drink from with a lovely fine lip and roomy comfortable handle.

Mulberry, nasturium, pomegranate leaves layered through different glazes applied to the raw clay and then made into a plate. I added the dragonflies on top and the combination just pops!

I press lilly pilly leaves from my garden and paint the red colour over them as the mug spins on my wheel.

The handle is carefully applied afterwards without disturbing the colour and a little extra slip trailing for the finish.
