Signing my work.
I used to sign my pots “Amy Slack- Gayndah” in large swirly brushwork on the bottom.
When I started potting again I thought I would do as most people do and have a unique stamp. I put a bit of time into designing and making a stamp and applied it to the first kiln load of mugs. Several customers said –“ you forgot to sign this one! ”
So now I uninhibitedly sign my pots and my paintings – I have started enjoying it. I play with fun names for the pieces. On my paintings I sometimes write a little story about the painting.
