I grew up in the bush and I love the mustering as a painting subject. Watching the horsemen and their dogs as they work the cattle always fascinates me- how the cattle respond to a working dog who knows their stuff. The cattle are sizing up their chance of making a break for it and the working dog has his eye on them, ready for action.
